I realized that my fanatism is not fully on the trail, but on the incredible 
physical wilderness of mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls, wildlife and 
people.

For me, and I am sure many others, it was "...the incredible physical wilderness..." that I first discovered during car camping trips through out my youth. Then, with that wonderful foundation, I came across the PCT and truly feel in love.
