Hi Ron,

I guess I'm just wondering about this Essence pack... - Are the hip straps 
firm enough to transfer weight to the hips well?  I find that most light 
weight packs don't have stiff and full enough hip-belts to transfer the 
weight from the shoulders to the hips.
