[pct-l] Question for fundraising/charity hikers

Yogi, if you look at my original message, you'll see it says I want to hike
    the PCT AND raise money for charity, NOT I want to hike TO raise money 
for
    charity.
    It's something I wanted to do for a long time for myself, but since I am 
an
    animal advocate, it seems like a nice way to help them, as well as 
making
    the public aware of the PCT.
    And say what you will, although I am doing this for myself primarily,
    there's no way you can convince me that in those times that you're 
broken
    down and in pain and exhausted, that having a cause 'higher' than 
yourself,
    knowing that you arer responsible for helping others,wouldn't give you 
that
    extra motivation.
    Hike your own hike, isn't that the saying?
