[pct-l] Battle of Oregon's bulge

My reckoning was based upon a general description in a news article. Based on the accuracy of other recent media accounts, I would have to caution that the bulge could be anywhere from Hawaii to Delaware and it might be a depression rather than a bulge.

Can anyone tell me just how easy the PCT is to follow. For instance in France i've followed trails that are way marked with a simple small red and white mark painted on trees, rocks etc. These marks are just regular enough so that you don't need a huge pile of 1:25,000 scale maps.
Is the PCT simalarly marked so that I could plan to walk the entire trail with just the three guide books?

Many thanks, my plans are still very much at the early stages.

Yours Andrew Waddington
