[pct-l] ending at kennedy meadows

i'm hoping to make a trip to km around the end to sept. to cheer on the 
flip-floppers as they finish their hike, and it occurred to me that they 
won't have a pct monument to look forward to... so why not supply one? 
it could be fun to make a scale model of the terminus monuments... maybe 
even make a little model of monument 78 (though it could be called 
"monument 05" or something). i'm no good with things like this, but i 
could probably cobble together something really small- like 12" tall or 
something- could be funny... it'd probably look like somebody's 
grade-school project... maybe someone on the list with more talent with 
this sort of thing might be inspired to make something bigger?

is anyone else planning on heading to km at the end of sept? i'm not 
100% sure what dates i'll be going, but i suppose something like the 
29th thru the weekend... i'm hoping to time it so that i see as many 
finishing hikers as possible, so i'll be keeping an eye on 
trailjournals... i met lots of nice folks on the trail this year, and am 
looking forward to seeing them finish.
