   Just got back from a nice 5-day trip up to Old
Station and Etna to do some taping.  Great retired
couple running Alderbrook Manor now...$20 for the
Hiker Hut, includes continental breakfast, microwave,
GOOD cable and a nicely refurbished B&B if one so
desires to experience more luxury.
   Georgie and Dennis in Old Station are trail angels
who have a 5 acre spread...very nice folks.  They have
a Tolkien-esque treehouse and hot tub.  Ran into the
Goat People there...one reason they were given for
having to turn back with Syd (their pygmy goat) to
Cottonwood Pass was possible scabies introduction to
the Bighorn Sheep population. Ran into the Beer Poet
in Etna where he treated the camera to one of his
rambling missives under a halogen light with guitar
accompaniment by Canaan, a southbounder.
