What has long been sorely needed is a shuttle service between Kennedy 
Meadows and the CREST bus terminal in Ridgecrest so hikers can travel 
between KM and Reno.

With the loss of Greyhound service along highway 395 several years ago, 
transportation on the east side of the Sierras has been severely limited. 
CREST takes 2 days with a mandatory overnight stop  in Bishop.
