Jackalope was at Donna Saufley's Tuesday, and left yesterday with, I 
believe, French Bob.  I believe Trail Dale was also there and has gone 
on.  Preacher Jim was there too, but is now in L.A. for a couple days.  
Dr. Bob was at Donna's last night, along with Hellkat, and they are 
taking off today.  49er left the trail from Big  Bear with a hip 
injury.  I hope he will be able to return to the trail this year, 
somewhere, somehow.   These hikers all left Campo a week or two before 
the Kickoff, and I gave four of them a ride to the Kickoff from 
Idyllwild and then back to the trail.  I plan to meet some or all of 
them at Walker Pass on or around the 23rd with a resupply assist, and 
Dr. Bob's wife is driving out from Virginia for spousal R&R at Kennedy 
Meadows.  I believe they then plan to motor up to Ashland and decide 
whether to hike north, south, or ??? based on what information is 
available at that time.  What a strange year!
