"Never s_ _ t where you eat."
Some people are oblivious to this simple rule of life.
That ranks right up there with the @#$% who was destroying the Road 22 cache
every day on the Hat Creek Rim two years ago. The sherriff wasn't going to
spend time with the case. The locals kept hoping a group of thirsty
thru-hikers would come along and catch him at it. The coyotes could have
what was left.

>From a Buckeye's trail journal:

"The giant cement water tank looked wonderful after using or reserves so
sparingly the night before. Another gentleman sitting on top of the water
tank greeted us and informed us that we needed to filter or treat this water
because he had washed his feet in it. Needless to say, this did not go over
well with us thirsty hikers. We expressed our disapproval with this sort of
behavior, but he did not seem to see any problem with it."

Yuck,
