Hey, what is so wrong with 1977?? We made it without the internet, trail angels, water caches, ultra-light gear, town guides, etc. And it was a great experience.

If the Thru-hikers didn't have the support of non-thru hikers, it'd be
1977 all over again and less people would be able to thru-hike!
