[pct-l] Silly Questions?

There will probably be more posts than two... and all will give different
advice, as have the first two. It depends of one's individual personality. I
live in the Sierra foothills, have no neighbors for half a mile, and am
becoming more and more reclusive. On the other hand, on the Trail, the "town
experience" seems to be a magic part of the trip. It's almost a fly-on-the-wall,
transcendental experience for me... a Gurdjieff Sacred Dance Show, where any
manner of startling, outrageous, fantastic thing could happen at any second.
It's most likely a matter of alcohol, endorphins and sensory overload...
but it's marvelous none the same, and, for a civilization-shunning hermit such
as myself, it continues to surprise me that some of my most memorable
experiences occur in those 24 hours in which I brush up against an anonymous
civilization and then scurry rapidly back to the Trail.
