[pct-l] elevation sickness

If you approach Whitney from the PCT you will be acclimated to some extent.
The PCT is graded and goes pretty high. Then start to factor in the
obvious. How do I feel? What shape am I in? Do I have medical factors?
How fast do I want to summit? How much snow is there? Do I feel sleepy...?

The PCT turnoff for Whitney is near Crabtree Meadows. The PCT North of
Crabtree Meadow has some beautiful views. Maybe I'll just keep going up the
trail...

Elevation sickness, is it a factor for someone who is not used to it and
goes straight up to Whitney? What is the best way to prevent it, what are
some early the symptoms? Dustin
