[pct-l] cool atlas

My dad just showed me a really neat atlas he has. It s the Southern
and Central California Atlas and Gazetteer (
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0899332854/ ). It is a
huge book - not very thick but about a foot and a half tall - but it
is a topo map with roads and it clearly shows the PCT. It covers all
of section A in 3 pages. You wouldn't want to carry the whole thing
but you could rip out a few pages that cover an entire section.

The scale is way too small to use for navigation (1:150,000) but it
would be very useful to see where you are in more general terms. There
are also editions for northern Ca, Or and Wa.
