[pct-l] pct

Kraig,
Nobody's going to laugh at you and you can learn all about the PCT just from
reading the emails on this list. The PCT runs over 2500 miles from the
Mexican border through California, Oregon and Washington to Canada. Some
people walk the whole trial in one summer. One guy even walked from Mexico
to Canada and back again. On the other hand, there's no reason you need to
hike the whole trail all at once. Lots of peole hike the trail one section
at a time and spend years on the project. If you tell us about where you
live we can give you a better idea of how to access the trail. You can get
on the trail by hiking from the top of the tram in Palms Springs and there
are lots of other ways to do it. There are some maps and guide books that
will help a lot and some of the guidebooks may be availabled at your local
library.

Good luck with your hiking,
Wayne Kraft
