[pct-l] i'm new to this

Hi,
I've never 'posted' to any forums so I'm not quite
sure how this works. Nonetheless, I'm very interested
in hiking at least part of the PCT this year, and I
can join in at just about any point along the way in
California. I have hiking experience such as: San
Francisco Peak in Flagstaff, AZ, various trails in the
Cascades, Olympic Mtns, Rockies, Appalacians,
Adirondacks, White Mountains et al. Yet, I don't have
backpacking experience. I do have alot of enthusiasm
and energy to go backpacking, and I've hiked 15 miles
in one day (at the most) up to this point. I'm working
on conditioning to go further....

Is there someone or a group of folks out there who are
going on the PCT and wouldn't mind a fast learner, fun
hiker but certainly a 'new' backpacker to join them?
I've bought most of my gear, I would say it's in the
lighter range, but not ultralite. Hope to hear from
anyone,
