[pct-l] What is your current pack weight now

I hiked in 2003. Here are some answers to your questions.

My pack weight, without food or water or fuel was about 11 lbs. My body weight started at 215 and ended at 193. I do not include food or water or fuel because these weights vary rather alot. For example in some parts of SoCal I'd have 16 lbs of water on my back. Coming with an average amount for food, water, and fuel is difficult for this reason. So, I would only use the base weight (weight minus food, water, fuel) for your survey. If you absolutely need a number, add on 9 lbs.

Note that you should mention that this is very close to a self-selected survey (I'm teaching some stats now), which is going to dramatically lower the applicability of your results. However, you are on the borderline and will be able to say something beyond: "Members of the PCT-L who chose to respond said..."
