[pct-l] Etna and Daniel Webster

For the Class of 2003, Etna's allure included the Alderbrooke
Manor and its Hiker Hut. It was a truly magical experience: friendly,
inexpensive, comfortable, reasonable services in walking distance,
readily available rides back to the trailhead or to bigger towns if
need be. Unfortunately, the magic apparently got a little out of
hand, and Mr. Webster was arrested on drugs-and-sex charges, leading
to the closure of the B&B last year.

For those interested in "the rest of the story":

According to newspaper and court reports, Mr. Webster was
convicted of sharing dope and unnamed narcotics (possibly Viagra,
which might be a narcotic from a legal point of view, although not
from a medical perspective) with a 17-year employee, a misdemeanor
offense. He was sentenced to 200 hours of community service (since
completed), 3 years of probation, counseling, and fined/feed $478.00.
All other charges were dismissed.
