I have a copy of a book titled "The Pacific Crest Bicycle Trail" that
describes a 2,500 mile route parallel to the PCT. It follows mostly paved
roads rather than the many dirt forest roads available near the trail in
some areas, and is at a lower elevation much west of the Sierra. My copy was
copyright 1990 and I think it's now out of print but used copies are
available at Amazon and other used book sellers.
