[pct-l] PCTA and spam

Hello Ilja,
I have belonged to the PTCA for a number of years now and I have never had
any environmental groups soliciting my email number. OR spam for that
matter. Do you think this is coming from the PTCA or is it possible that it
is from some other YAHOO group.  I did receive spam from the Yahoo groups
until I learned to spell out my email number ie.  AT  and DOT  etc. so it
could not be harvested so easily.  Just a suggestion.

Hi,

since I joined the PCTA I've periodically received advertisements from 
other environmental groups (Sierra Club, Redwoods, Save the bay - 
whatever!) I joined via credit card on their website. Apparently their 
default setting (there is no question asked) was to assume that I really, 
really wanted "my address to be shared" with other organizations.
