[pct-l] Scary bear story & not hanging food

While it is very important to "respect" bears and their awesome 
physical strength, being and exhibiting "fear" when confronted with a 
bear will get you into trouble.

Its just like with a ferocious dog, if you show fear, they know that 
they have you and will attack.  If you act like YOU are the one in 
charge and make the dog/bear realize that, they will respect you and 
leave you alone.

Granted, if you take this too far you will get killed, but if you don't 
take it far enough, you can also get killed AND teach bears that people 
are push-overs, which is the real problem isn't it?  If bears were 
still scared of people (with guns), then they wouldn't be a problem.
