[pct-l] Followup Backpack Question

Oops, it has dawned on me that I keep answering
everyone's e-mails directly to them and not to
the pct-l, so my apologies if it seems that I'm
not responding to all the helpful advice. From
now on I'll try to remember to put the pct-l
address in the To: field before sending off my
replies.
Thanks again everyone for all your helpful ideas.
I think I now have enough info to chew on for
awhile, but I'm sure you'll hear from me again
soon enough.
One informal poll I'll put out there to anyone
interested in answering is who out there tries to
stick to the trail come hell and high water
(unless a resupply point is within a short hiking
distance), and how many out there have no
problems leaving the trail, even if it means
hitching a ride for many miles out of your way,
and then hitching a ride all the way back?
Shane
P.S. Bonus fun question: How does one obtain a
trail name: are they given, earned, or do you
just come up with one and use it?
