You have to remember,the Blaine crossing is the main entry for americans to travel to alaska. the Canadians want to make sure you have enough money to make the trip. telling them your coming from Washington state to Canada to go fishing, sounds to them, if youll excuse the expression, a little fishy. Through the years theve heard a lot of storys,in your case they wanted to see pay stubs to make sure your story checked out ,and that youd be returning to the lower 48.Im also guessing that your car was not registered in Washington which does make a difference.
