[pct-l] fire permits in Cal

Information on campfire permits for the USFS Pacific Southwest Region
(California) is at
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/passes/campfire.html . Permits are issued at USFS,
BLM, and CDF offices.

As for wilderness permits as campfire permits, that website reads:
In some Wilderness Areas, your wilderness permit serves as your fire permit.
Other Wilderness area regulations may require you to have both a fire permit
and a wilderness permit. In wilderness areas where no Wilderness permit is
required, you must always have a campfire permit to use a backpack stove or
build a fire.

I don't know which wilderness areas require both. I recall seeing wilderness
permits used to say they served as campfire permits, but the current ones do
not.

Bottom line, I don't really know if you need a separate campfire permit. I
do know they're easy to get, and I get one before my first trip every
January.
