[pct-l] The Allure of the PCT

We have gotten to give presentations to a couple of different
schools/classes and scout groups. The reaction from the kids is really
amazing. I think we have fostered several new PCT hikers. Well, in about ten
years. One teacher friend follows our treks on a US map in her classroom.
The students who start the trek are excited to come back in the fall to see
where we are. The teachers have sent us letters that the students have
written about the presentations. The kids seem to really understand the
scale of what we accomplished. It is funny what they pick up on: glissading
down a snowy hill, fording a chest deep creek, animal sitings, mountain
views, ... It is an exciting way for us to relive our adventure!
