The trail does not go to either Tehachapi or Mojave. Section E ends at
Tehachapi Pass and Highway 58 which leads east to Mojave and west to
Tehachapi. Some find it easier to hitch to either town from where the PCT
crosses Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road. Either way, Darrell will hike this
area (unless he uses the old temporary route which is a road walk described
as an alternate in the guidebook).
