Are you looking for the out of print "The Pacific Crest Trail Hiker's 
Handbook" or do you just need "Beyond Backpacking"?  The latter has slightly better 
backpacking info, but next to nothing on the PCT.

I got lucky - my library system has it, so I get to use it for free.
