If you're coming to the ADZ and have some room in your car, truck or van, 
please throw in a folding table or two.  We will need lots of tables this year.  

Also, the several big storms that have hit southern California since 
Christmas have dumped quite a bit of snow in the Sth California mountains; San 
Gabriels, San Bernardinos and San Jacinto.  However, the good and bad news for you 
aspiring thru-hikers is that we're currently having a heat wave here and the 
temps in the foothills have been in the '90's for the past two days, melting off 
a huge amount of that snow.  Certainly our wet season isn't over yet, but if 
it is it could mean the bad news, and that is it could be a dry and hot Spring.
