[pct-l] Knees
It could be tendonitis..or it could be surface tearing/roughness of the
meniscal cartilege....
The symptoms can mimic each other..If at all possible, I would invest in an
MRI (roughly 1200 bucks)...If it is cartilege, it won't heal and will just
get worse as the hike progresses...
The descent off of Fuller's Ridge will not be a pleasant experience if your
knees are acting up at all...

Adirondacks last October. No single moment of injury, just the impact on
the descent compacted by the 15 mile hike out with no anti-inflammatories.
Never have I experienced this before.

still taking Ibuprofen and Glucosomine Condroiten (mineral joint supplement)
three times daily to keep the pain down.

solid second opinion. Anyone care to shed their knee problems with me and
reassure me that there's a chance I'll be able to hike 20 miles a day in two
months for another 4? What should I do?
