[pct-l] MT Whitney PCT

The PCT does not go up Mt. Whitney but the John Muir Trail does. The
junction is at Crabtree Meadows.  It is definitely a worth while side trip.
I would guess that most thru-hikers go up. Adds an extra day. Guitar Lakes
and the basin are a sight to see. You do need a special permit (costs some
$ - get it from the PCTA when you get your thru hike permit). It is not a
difficult trek - but you will feel the 14,000 ft.
