It sounds like this messaged was addressed to an individual, but everyone
else seems to be answering it, so...

Personally, I hate hiking solo. Within 3 days, I'm talking to myself like
Gollum in Lord of the Rings. I only do it because I hate not hiking more.

I'm hiking solo this summer, but on both trips, I'll be on the PCT around
the same time and place as the heart of the pack, so solitude shouldn't be a
problem.
