A personal musing:
Every long distance hiker "loses" in the end in spite of all their
endeavor.
The hike has to end sometime.
So does reaching a goal inspire self confidence or is it the other
way
around? Can you have one without the other?
Aw, the important thing is to just do it, and not take past failures
OR
successes personally, just to let them teach you. Success should make
you humble,
failure should make you bold.
My brain hurts. Gotta get some breakfast. David C
