[pct-l] How much food a day do you need? [PowerMush]



I think your vacuum sealing may be  the key then.  I don't have one so rely
on zip locks which I've found  tend to let air in over time.  I've tended to
make vegetarian dishes too, but drop bits of beef jerky in as I rehydrate
it.  I add boiling water to a zip lock full of couscous in a cozy, then as
much oil as I can stomach!  seems to work well for  me.

I'm just considering my old rice pudding recipe based on your idea.  Tinned
cream rice pudding dehydrated was a disaster, never rehydrating properly,
but I guess if I chucked it in the  blender I would have a sweet creamy
ground rice type comfort food mmmm sounds good to me!
