for those looking for a REALLY ultralight solution, I use a Nunatak 
Ghost Blanket, which weighs 14oz.  Its only a blanket, not a whole 
bag.  The good thing about that is that it allows them to put more 
down on top, which is where you really need it.  I slept well even as 
high as 9700' on the JMT with no tent, the blanket, and a sleeping 
pad (customized ridgerest).

if you do not sleep too cold, and you want to lose some more weight, 
I recomend it.
