Hey, why not start a little early and adjust your schedule according to what
the snow pack is doing in the Sierras. You can always slow your pace down to
arrive at KM on the suggested June 15th date (that date worked extremely well
for me on an average snow year). San Jacinto should be passable with an ice ax
as long as there isn't a tremendous amount of snow. Ditto for the San
Gabriels. It all depends on your amount of available time
Marge is right: predicting weather is a lot of fun and really tests your
powers of observation. As for taking a non experts (or even an expert's)
predictions seriously, caveat emptor.
Speaking of weather, the woods are now wet in the Pacific Northwest and
anything on the ground will now stay wet until June
Oops almost time for a great baseball game between the Yankees and Red Sox.
Gotta go
