I wrote up a summary of my system for my 2002 hike.  I had a Nikon Coolpix
885 (now replaced by the 4300).  It was great. The best feature is the macro
feature.  Get up close!

I bounced a laptop to transfer data.  Bouncing a laptop was a hassle and
expensive.  I should have just bought 256MB cards and sent them home.  It
would have been cheaper in the long run.
