Dear PCT-L-ers

Please read this, even it it doesn't impact you now. It may in the future.

Due to the Sobig.F worm, lots of email boxes are going over quota and
returning mail to sender (called "bouncing.") This problem is especially
bad for Yahoo! email accounts. When this happens, this list software turns
your mail off by putting you in the "vacation" mode. It does NOT
unsubscribe you, so you can't subscribe to turn your mail back on, since
you are still a member.

To turn your mail back on, go to the same place you did when you
subscribed: http://www.backcountry.net/ and follow the subscribe link. This
link is also at the bottom and top of EVERY list post, so you should have
plenty of copies of it.

Once there, enter your email address in the "Unsubscribe or change your
list options for pct-l subscribers" section, and submit.

On the following pages, go to the place that says "Your pct-l Subscription
Options" and set "Mail delivery" to "enabled."

This may sound complicated, but you are just going to the page where you
first subscribed, and following directions.

With all the bogus email generated by the Sobig.F Worm, plus all the spam,
I'm getting near 100 messages a day stuck on the filters I need to manually
tend to. It would REALLY help me if you would save this email and tend to
your own subscription options.

Sobig.G is expected within a few days of Sobig.F expiring, so be prepared
for another outbreak around September 10th. This will keep happening till
Microsoft actually takes security seriously, or they no longer dominate the
desktop market.

Thanks In Advance
