[pct-l] hat creek - chester

i may be able to further elaborate on the discription of chester seeing as i
am currently living there. there are quite a few motels, but ive been told
that some of them are not the most pleasent. the chester manor which is on
main street is old but clean, and according to many locals, one of the
better, reasonably priced places to stay. chester is a summer destination
area b/c of the lake, so if you know ahead of time when you will be there
(esp if it is a weekend), it would be a good idea to make a reservation.

here are a few ph #s... dont hold me accountable if the place is not
pristine
antlers motel 530-258-2722
cedar lodge motel and rv 258-2904
chester manor motel 258-2441
timber house lodge 258-3175
these are a few all on the main highway.

ive heard good things about st bernard's as well. ive been told that the
hamburgers there were great, but i dont eat out too much so im not sure. i
have eaten a few times at benassis which i think is good and is easily
accessed in town. the main breakfast place in town is the kopper kettle -
lots of greasy food and often slow service. the laundromat is on the
highway as well and easily spotted. the post office is about a block off of
the highway and has a sign to point you in the right direction. computers
and internet can be accessed 9-5 m-f at the abc center and at the library
when it is open.

if anyone has any other questions about chester, i would be happy to answer
them.
