[pct-l] Digital Camera on Thruhike?

chris - i have not thru-hiked the pct, but i have done about 500
miles in teh Sierras and my guess would be that there are not enough
trail stops to charge the batteries, at least not in the sierras.

i suggest lithium ion batteries. that is what I used with my digital
camera last year during our 10 day hike. i had never use dthe
lithium batteries before and thought that they would last about a
week based on how fast the rechargeables lasted. however, the
lithium batteries ended up lasting all 10 days and another week or so
after that on another trip.

the lithium ion batteries are also substantially lighter than the
regular alkaline or rechargeables.

peace,
dude
