Are you asking "can you get away with it?" Probably, since USPS doesn't
routinely inspect packages. But if your package takes down a plane--or even
if it leaks in a truck, a mail facility, or somewhere it would've gone
anyway as surface mail--you're in a heap o' trouble. Seriously.

USPS Parcel Post or UPS Ground are both reliable (I use them in my business
all the time) and take only a little longer than Priority Mail.The USPS and
UPS Web sites provide estimated delivery times if you give them starting and
ending zip codes. Too expensive? Both these services are cheaper than
Priority Mail.
