Dunno about catnip, but I pursed the tomato extract with the N Carolina
researchers... even tried to beg testing a sample for them in the
Sierras. Nope!  They are waiting for certain federal approvals and it
sounded like nothing would be available for about a year. They really
believe in the stuff as a strong competitor to DEET and have a company
formed to eventually market it.
