I vote MP3 cd player with an FM reciever. Check ebay for the Rio SP250. It'll add 10 ounces to
your pack weight, but it comes with a wired remote. So you can leave the player in your pack and
control it from the remote, which also allows you to plug in your headphones to it. You get 10-15
(more using lithium, which are lighter!) hours of playback using CD's and double or triple that
using the FM reciever. Also, you can burn 700 mb of music onto one CD, that's about 200 cd quality
songs. AS compared to a portable player with 128 mb of storage, which means about 35 songs. It's
heavier and bulkier, but in your floater and resupply boxes you can have new cd's. I highly
reccomend some unplugged rock and roll. However, if you're a hardcore gram counter... it'll be too
heavy for you.
