[pct-l] Aqua Dulce to Lake Hughes.

I love ATVs. They are no end of entertainment. My favorite is to find an
irresistible spot for ATVs. I always carry some very small braided steel
cable. Stretch it across the trail at about neck high. It's a ball. Always
stay in the area though. First, you don't want to miss the fun from a good
vantage point and, most important, you want to remove all the evidence so
you get to do it again further down the trail.
Now for snowmobilers, I prefer crossbows. They are much quieter and a bit
more challenging. Something like a .338 mag with a good scope takes all the
fun and challenge out of it, for me.
I was never all that big on rights....or the law either, for that matter.
Efficiency is my motto.... ;o)

US public lands are just that- public. Everyone has a right to use them not
only backpackers. This includes the PCT and the land surrounding it. It is
not up to some vote or petition or public opinion on who uses public lands.
When taxes are no longer used to support them you will have a leg to stand
on but until then people have a right to use them- whether ATVer,
backpacker, or mountain biker.

Thanks for the tip on the low traffic area. My buddies have been looking for
an area like that. I'll let them know.
