[pct-l] sugguestions on cold weather gear in sierras?

As others have mentioned, the weather is variable throughout the entire
trail and variable by year. I wouldn't be caught without some warm gear
(light weight fleece pull over, hat, and gloves). However, rather than have
both a fleece top and long sleeve shirt, you could get away with only one of
them - especially if your jacket can keep you warm. I found that Frogg Toggs
were absolutely wonderful in that respect. Reduced what I needed. The
Sierras were not the cold place for me (except Tuolumne Meadows). That was
left for Oregon and Washington.
