Actually, it's not all that easy.  I hiked with one who had one of these fill
and suck filters and it seemed to me that the sucking was way too hard.  When
I drink, I want water, not a
turn-yourself-inside-out-suck-for-all-you're-worth water source.  Of course,
the weight seems mighty tantalizing, compared to a 365 gram Pur Hiker or the
like.
