A question about your use of Esbits for two:

I have also tried using Esbits for two hikers, but it
seems to take 1.5 tablets to boil my 2 L pot of water
(with 4 cups of water inside).  Is this close to what
you use?  I'm curious if I am not doing something
right, like pot is too close to flame or etc.

I know that you can blow the Esbits out and relight
them.  But they are pretty messy.
