[pct-l] Using a Tarptent for a Thru hike



As others have mentioned, anything can happen. I have seen pictures of folks
being snowed on early in Southern California. But, rain and wind will be
most of the inclement weather you will find. And the mosquitoes will
probably be the worst natural disaster (so be sure to have netting). The
Sierras are normally dry with no snow during the time you will be in them.
And even in Washington, normally it is rain and cold. So, if you are
comfortable in a tarp, go for it!
