[pct-l] Down Sleeping Bags

My wife and I have used the Feathered Friends bags. We got 800 down, regular
nylon shell. Her's was the Hummingbird; mine the Swallow. Both 20 degree
bags. I believe mine was warmer - seemed to have more down in it (and not
just because it was a bit larger). Excellent bags - very compressible - and
then comes right back up.

I suggest washing the bag at the 1/2 way point. Also, make sure your pad is
still thick - where you sleep. If it gets cold at the end of the trip, use a
silk liner, wear clothes, etc. Unless you have an unusual year, are starting
very early or very late, or finish after Oct 15th, this bag should be fine
for the whole trip.

Also suggest checking out Mt. Hardwear bags - REI has them. Some people
think they are better. About the same price.
