As for the misquote of the day, how about 

"If only triple crowners hiked
the trails, the trails would soon be so overgrown that even 
the triple crowners couldn't get through."    

Even ten-mile-a-day hikers help keep the brush down and the
ticks fed.   HYOH, misquote your own mosquito.
