[pct-l] Inquiry about chest injuries

My guess is that your problem is pack related and that you strained some
muscles pretty badly. And they take a long, long time to heal. And, then
they can be reinjured.

I definitely had neck pain from the weight of my pack. Even had my hands
freeze up when trying to write. Also had difficulty bending down to tie my
shoes (that still happens - get a sharp pain in my upper chest in muscle
connected to the ribs).

How heavy was your pack? Anything over 30 lbs caused me some trouble. Do you
have the pain just walking without a pack?

There was no "cure". Stretching, yoga, weight lifting, etc. will probably
help.

Good Luck.

Come up to the 2001 Gathering at the Lake Wenatchee YMCA on Sept 28, 29,
30th. There may be others to talk with about this.
