[pct-l] thru cats

advantages for thru-cats:

1) minimal water consumption
2) trail mousing provides self sufficient food supply
3) plenty of scratching posts along the way
4) protection: a good clawing up is far more damaging than some whimpy
calibre pistol
5) cats possess uncanny balance - no kitty ice axe needed !
6) cats get along nicely with equines
